Both Arrogance and Alabama start with the letter A. Mr. Byrne if you do not like early kickoffs then stop cashing those checks from CBS and Disney. Also, schedule non-conference games people outside the state of Alabama would actually be interested to watch instead of glorified scrimmages.

On a side note, Tennessee has fallen so much from the glory days their match up against Florida is also in the early time window. I remember when that game was prime time. My only question is that the game the worst announcer in college football, Beth Mowens, will call.

“We realize we’ve played more non-conference day games at home in September than any other SEC team since 2014

Because you play nothing but non-conference cupcakes at home in Sept since 2014. Nobody is interested in watching you play the likes of Kent State and Louisiana-[Insert Obscure Louisiana City].

When Mowins calls a game, I turn it off.

I agree with you about the arrogance and whiny attitude of the Tide. Ultimately TV controls kickoff times. Can you actually believe that they prefer to have a competitive game in prime time? /s Maybe Saban should schedule better teams in non-conference to get a prime time. I’ve seen many 11:00 am kickoffs between OU and Texas, some extremely hot, and some cold. Other than the hardship of the fans for both teams, the conditions are the same for all competitors. Suck it up, buttercup. Talk to your AD about the TV contract that the vaunted SEC signed giving TV the right to dictate kickoff times.

Enough said.

State just beat the Mustard Buzzards 35-10. It could have been 60 plus if Tommy Stevens had stayed in. Alabama will put close to 70 on them and ESPN doesn’t want to waste prime time on that

Disagree with everything you said about ‘Bama (Roll Tide), but you are spot on with the Vols and Miss Beth. I think if she stopped TRYING to sound like a dude she might not be half-bad, but as it is, she sounds like a 15 year old boy.

Georgia - Arkansas State is also an 11:00 kickoff on ESPN2. I doubt their non-conference game with Notre Dame will be, however.

Bama should just bite the bullet and switch to the NFL.

Given that Brett Favre is not playing for So. Miss. anymore, I don’t think there’s millions of Americans clamoring to see this game. You want prime-time coverage, play prime-time opposition.

Is that the woman that I fortunately hear announcing other team’s games that has the high-pitched voice? I can’t imagine listening to a whole game with her as the announcer. I can stand most of the play-by-play types but some of the color commentators have to just shut up.

Yep, that's when you know your program is no longer relevant.

So, they aren’t going to fill the stadium?

Fans won’t drink or eat?

Or is it TV revenues?

Or do they need their baby sleep.

espn has destroyed college football, and the fact that people are whining over a noon kickoff (I remember when most college football games kicked off at noon) is just more proof. and the $ec has been a prime mover in that destruction/slutification.

the $ec in general, and alabama in particular, is espn’s cash-oozing prostitute, and now the prostitute doesn’t like the corner she has been ordered to work on.

the corner isn’t the problem. the fact that you are a whore is the problem.

Sorry, Tide.

TV calls the shots these days. You take the King’s shilling, you do the King’s bidding.

You could be Akron or Western Michigan with ESPN agitating for a 9AM kickoff.

In terms of scheduling and prime TV time this one surprises me.

10:15 PM ET ESPN2

Portland State (1-1) vs 22 Boise State (2-0)

Albertsons Stadium, Boise, ID

https://www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=401117503

Blue field baby, Boise is dominant at home. Only 37 losses in the last 31 years since they got a blue field.

ESPN think Boise has a 97.2% chance of winning this game.
