GOP since 1963
There is your MSM set up. If we hold the seat no big deal, if we lose it..huge.
Except as I showed here (https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/09/the_suicide_of_the_house_is_complete.html) I think the House has made itself entirely irrelevant. Some 25 years of not controlling the budget-—its #1 constitutional charge-—and now a full year of investigation and obstruction . . . yet Trump marches on without them.
Except for ending investigations, let me ask this: how much different (in terms of budgets, controlling spending, etc) would a Republican House (say, with a 5-6 seat majority) really be? I’m not sure it would be that different. Yes, it would vote for Trump’s new trade bill with Mexico and Canada. But NAFTA is gone, whether there is a new agreement or not. The Dems lose on that one.
The Senate will remain in our hands (as of now, I think by 51-49 majority unless John James surprises). All of Trump’s judges will get confirmed. Minion Romney is not so stupid as to oppose the judges.
So I’m not sure anything would substantially change if the Republicans win or if they continue to be a minority. The House has committed suicide.
Why did they feel the republicans need to cheat if its hard core red?
