So she sits me down. We have a nice conversation. She tells me, Oh, the sketches are great. I go, Oh, fantastic. Well, then well, then, why am I here? She said, Because, David, theres no way that you can ever say the word f*ggot on our network.
I didnt know I did anything wrong. I didnt try to defend myself. I said, All right. F*** it, Ill take it out. Have a good afternoon.
And as I was leaving, it occurred to me. Hey. Hey, Renée, quick question. Its just a question. Seriously, I wanna know. Like, wh-why is it why is it that that I can say the word n*gger with impunity but I cant say the word f*ggot?
And she said, Because, David, you are not gay. I said, Well, Renée Im not a n*gger either.
But, you see, what I didnt realize at the time and what Kevin [Hart] had to learn the hard way is we were breaking an unwritten and unspoken rule of show business. And if I say it, youll know that Im telling you the truth.
The rule is that no matter what you do in your artistic expression, you are never, ever, allowed to upset
the alphabet people. You know who I mean. Those people that took 20% of the alphabet for themselves. Id say the letters, but I dont want to conjure their anger. Ah, its too late now. Im talking about them Ls and them Bs and them Gs and the Ts.
Agreed. Cosby and Seinfeld are non-polical as was dangerfield but most comics do something political or socially relevant Carlin was political and i loved him even when i disagreed with him One of the best wordsmiths ever.
Speaking of SNL, I LMAO years ago with the cork soaker routine. Alec Baldwin never stopped being one after the routine.
I thought the Michael Jackson bit showcased how Jackson could access young children as if their gold-digging moms are looking to scrape their slice of riches off of a pop superstar at the expense of their children.
Any mother worth her place should NOT be leaving their kids alone with Michael Jackson. Just like you don’t let your young daughter jetset with graying billionaires...unless you care more about sponging some money than you care about your daughter.
I totally get it. It feels awkward to say or write these words. But that’s how they get their awful power.
Chappelle is P. O. the right people. Good enough for me.
Chappelle’s take on Reparations was hilarious.
He’s my favorite black comedian because he usually calls it the way it is.
The entertainment industrys deep state will take care of the situation.
It is actually more than just offending this person or that person.
The Left wishes to control the use of language in order to use it as an ideological weapon.
The meaning and “appropriateness” of words or phrases changes constantly according to the Left, and any use of those words or phrases that doesn’t fit their currently contrived meaning or usage is grounds for attack (both physical and verbal) and a Leftist basis to discredit and denounce those who stray.
And because they change definitions or appropriateness at will, the tool is useful to them because it can be invoked at any time.
I despise Leftism in all of its forms.
But his rant about how every kid has been molested (really?) but that these kids should be happy because THEIR molester was the King of Pop, was a bridge too far. Again, maybe I missed the nuance, but Dave seemed honest in his sentiment.
Chappell for me is a bit like Milo - he's a really brilliant guy who is devastating in his critique on culture when he's on target..and then he drives into a ditch when he didn't need to do so.
I'll simply focus my attention on someone equally brilliant but less prone to unforced errors.
The few times I use that word I am referring to ATTITUDE and BEHAVIOR by a black. I suspect he is the same way.
It’s a very funny show, but a bit too focused on sex sex sex.
Chappelle is great.
The Netflix special was great.
While a lefty, he is no fan of PC and excoriates those who are.
I enjoyed it immensely.
Why should an American name writing in Vietnamese offer any offense? What are they alleging is wrong with this?
Blacks are always allowed to say the n-word. If you’re white and you say it, it’s game over for your career.
Eddie Murphy did a good job at that, as well, and I’ve always thought his comedy was great.
No allegations and they do not say why.Just each time I post in Vietnamese they shut me off for a bit. I surmise the reason. right now I am posting from Viet Nam and this keyboard does not have Vietnamese orthography. Go figure.

It is no problem with the Vietnamese authorities so long as stuff is labeled. Whatever is available is over the counter here(I have come back to VN since thelast post).
