I would say they are followers and do things because others do it.

My guess is whoever wasted their time studying this doesn’t have a tattoo.

Is not getting a tattoo the very epitome of a reckless decision?

People with tattoos make reckless decisions and are more impulsive than those who are not inked...

A better Title would have been , People who do things for reasons that are not good make reckless decisions and are more impulsive than those who don’t..... seems like a generational issue with reasoning not ink.

Wow, what a profound conclusion they’ve come to. Perhaps their next blockbuster headline could state “Reckless and impulsive people tend to get tattoos.”

I read a book once where an enormous biker-type of guy had “POOR IMPULSE CONTROL” tattooed across his forehead.

I always thought that summed it up nicely.

I think that this article is an over-generalization.

For example, I am considering a tattoo to celebrate my completion of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage during the Holly Year of Mercy. Considering that I completed my pilgrimage several years ago, I would say this is not an impulse decision. I am considering doing a second pilgrimage during the 2021 Holy Year

While I agree that many who get tattoos are not really thinking things through and may later regret the decision, I also feel that sometimes a tattoo can be an affirmation and positive thing. It all depends on the person and their reasons.

That’s obvious. For women especially. Fashion changes, tattoos are forever. If you gave a woman an expensive jacket, but added the caveat that she had to wear it for the rest of her life, she would reject it immediately. Strange that the same women will mark up her arms, legs, breasts, etc with trendy ink. Let’s see.... what goes with a long white cotton dress and nice sandals....? Not Porky Pig.

Many were also “cutters” or into self mutilation.
