Just wait about 5 years when the bottom feeding type lawyers think they can make money in some class action lawsuits due to some side effect. That’s where the big money will be.

Ah, I got ya.

I haven’t had a dog in 5 years. We only just got an adult cat this summer, first real animal in all that time.

Sorry for your loss. 16? That is shocking for a GS. Should have been in the GSDCA 13 Club. I re-applied for GSDCA membership on the eve of my dog’s birth to apply for the special recognition, but that day before turned out to be her last so she didn’t qualify.

Hope your young dogs keep you happy!

“CBD is the latest version of Snake Oil.”

In some respects you can say that but it is the only OTC substance known to me that stops esophagal spasms instantaneously, otherwise I have to go to the ER for benzo injections. It saved me from the latter at least ten times.

So.....what if the demonization of tobacco had absolutely nothing to do with "health" and everything to do with eliminating the #1 expense in producing cigarettes?

I mean, isn't the nicotine and tar associated the "harmful" ingredients, yet you can easily buy a vape that simply delivers the nicotine -- with no tobacco!

Supplements derived from natural sources are not regulated the same way as are artificial, patented drugs.

They are regulated by:

The Dietary Supplement, Health, and Education Act of 1994.

The media often lie by saying they are not regulated.

I’m sorry for your pain; I do hope that you find some relief.
I do have a pointed question which is nagging at me in light of your comment:

Do you use marijuana in any form? There is a logical reason for the question; I will elaborate with your answer.

I’ve been threatening to write a piece about CBD and incorporate it into a chapter in my book.

For the most part I view CBD as the new Snake Oil, but Rick Simpson oil is a different animal altogether on the basis of feedback from people I know personally and I would recommend anyone who would be desperate enough to consider opiods to try RS oil first, illegal or not.

Doesn’t look so good on the Wiki.

That is disingenuous. They are BARELY regulated is the best way to say it - FDA isn’t even required to give approval, and can’t do anything unless adverse effects are reported.

It is NOTHING like the FDA and how they treat real medical items.

Very, very interesting. Thank you for your response.

To elaborate, CBD cheerleaders have postulated that marijuana users may be desensitized to the effects of CB, rationalizing why some people may hare no effect from CBD.

Your experience takes the air out of that argument. Thank again.

Do look into whether Rick Simpson oil is a viable alternative for you in your state. It may not be 100% legal, but it’s non-addictive, can be used topically with few side effects from the THC and the experiences related to me are far from anecdotal like CBD.

From your link, “It’s also important to keep in mind that everyone’s body chemistry and tolerance is different; finding your perfect dose takes a bit of focus and experimentation.”

Yeah, that experiment to find your perfect dose seems to be on every bottle no matter the brand. Snake oil red flag.

I have never smoked a joint and don’t hang out with people who do. Illegal is illegal in my book. Black and white.
I don’t believe in gray. Didn’t much want CBD but for the fact it is legal and doesn’t contain THC.

Ditto for turmeric, but absorption matters. Forms that are hydro-soluble absorb better.

Isn’t tramadol a narcotic? It makes me itch terribly just like Vicodin.

Now I discovered these great pills that solved all my problems, they’re called ‘placebos’.

CBD oil has a great placebo effect because gullible people think it has almost magical powers.
