‘you see guns less frequently”
Good luck with that one...
Springfield. MA is one of the most dangerous cities in the US.
If she just moved ten miles out of town she would have been fine.
Because,
like all democrats,
she voted her home state to hell
and needed somewhere else to destroy.
Uruguay is a better choice. Chile also.
On the whole, I didn't see it as that much cheaper than the US. At least, not much cheaper than the cost of living where I resided at the time. (AZ)
It was OK. I didn't fall in love with the place but enjoyed it enough.
A lot has changed in the US in 7 years though. In particular, for me, the over crowding everywhere. I may have to revisit the idea.
Even with as disconcerting as some things are getting here in the U.S., I would definitely place my bet on the long term stability of the United States over any small central american nation. Also, internal political risks aside, you are far too close to Venezuela, Columbia, Honduras and Nicaragua, all places with a lot of various types of instability. Currently Venezuela tops that list, but they have each had problems. I may be ignorant of Panama’s other strong points and assets, but it is small, and other than having a canal with global significance, there is no reason to expect it to be some stable and defensible powerhouse.
She looks like a masculine Hillary voter.
Google poor Panama. Makes Detroit look like Malibu.
No rule of law down there. One revolution away from having her assets taken or restless natives go after her gringo skin
Mary has catastrophic health insurance from Cigna International, and says she pays roughly $2,000 a year for it. In Panama, she pays out of pocket for her occasional doctors visits (about $20);
...
Mexico has some excellent health and dental care, if you know where to look, and it’s much cheaper than the US. Why?
So basically she spent her entire career advocating for ever fatter teacher benefits and pensions, and thus raising everyones property taxes in perpituity, and then when she reitred she took her fat pension and moved out of the country so she doesn’t need to pay those (state and local) taxes - leaving the taxpayers who can’t leave to pick up the tab for her multiple houses....I see what she did there.
The U.S. has gotten so out of control the social fabric is shattering, she says. It is an act of insanity to continue to stay in the U.S.,

I see. Orange Man Bad equals USA Bad.
Had this moron simply moved out of Taxachussetts - she would have been fine. Thank God she didn’t move to Texas.
If I lived in Springfield, MA, my view might be distorted too. Springfield is a hellhole that is best observed from the comfort of one’s car while en route to better places in New England. The only reason most people in surrounding areas ever go there is for medical reasons or to enjoy some of the decent Italian food spots that are still around from a different era.
Because she is reaping the harvest of a lifetime of voting Democrat (along with many others) and can't afford to live among her fellow massholes on what is probably a generous pension form the taxpayers .
My Sister and Brother-in-Law spend 9 months a year in Europe.
He retired as a Naval Aviator then worked two more jobs before retiring for good. My Sister also always worked after their kids were grown.
They have a very good income but still try to live inexpensively.
This year they will spend 3 months in Belgrade then 6 in Hungary. In previous years they vacationed in most of the European countries such as France, Germany, etc. They now use the less expensive countries as a base and then do a lot of free traveling by train. They travel free because of their age.
They say the friendliest people in Europe are the Poles. The best food is in Serbia. The most beautiful country is Hungary.
Hey Mary,FOAD! YOU and your ilk are the reason that America is being turned into a sh*thole and why you are leaving where you sh*t the nest.
Don’t come to Texas. Gracious
I had to laugh at that one. I'm in my 50s and I work in NYC. Have never once seen gunfire or even guns other than strapped to the belts of law enforcement officers and in the waistbands of good citizens who have an open carry permit.
Good luck in Panama though. I suspect at one point some gun carrying thugs will come to visit - and they won't have the best of intentions.
