The morons tried this crap after Sandy Hook.
I walked in to the King Soopers (Kroger) that I go to almost daily, walked up to the manager lady and explained what I was hearing.
She proudly said that it’s not going to happen, and thanked me for carrying while in her store.
Ban all gunmen.
What happens if a person carries in a store with a no gun sign as far as police are concerned?
Seriously. Someone prepared to commit multiple felonies is allegedly going to be stopped by a "ban" or a sign at the door? What fantasy world are these people living in?
A better policy to make Kroger - or just about any similar public place - safer would be to require patrons to be armed. Think about it - instead of the guy in the blue vest checking receipts on the way out of Walmart, he's checking your carry piece on the way in. Do you think someone who wants to kill people is going to walk into that Walmart and start trouble? Even a whack-job would realize their life expectancy could be measured in seconds on the fingers of one hand.
Banning guns, what an absolutely stupid idea. The only people made safer by "gun bans" are the criminals who now know they have a pool of defenseless victims at that place.
Texas was very smart when they enacted their carry laws. A sign has to be very specific with the actual ordinance on it for it to have any legal standing. A store can put up those no gun circle symbols to make the hoplophobes feel better ( and some national chains do as a matter of policy), but every gun carrier knows that they can ignore it.
I dont need a gun to buy groceries.
I need a gun to stop someone attacking me in a grocery store.
Stupid bitch needs to be told she is a stupid bitch.
Anyone who shoots people will not be stopped by a law or a "ban" on carrying guns. They will carry them anyways, despite what stupid ignorant bitches have to say about it.
They will shoot people anyways. All this stupid bitch's idea will do is make it harder for people to stop criminals from using guns.
almost all the nut cases do their deeds in ‘gun free zones’
why?
because, to the extent anybody else actually honors or observes such signage, there’s less chance of the perpetrators getting hurt
makes perfect sense even to sickos ...
the worst thing possible is to post “gun free zone” signs!!!
Indeed proof that snow flakes do not read.
In Arizona if a store has a “No Guns” sign posted you have to leave if asked. Just like if you’re not carrying a gun.
I think if you do it again after being notified then it’s a violation.
The woman is a fool.
Only good people would obey a Kroger gun ban.
Criminals and nut jobs would not.
because crazy people and criminals will always obey your idiotic gun free rules
Grandpa might have saved himself and the other victim if he’d been carrying.
There’s that “ nobody needs” line again.
Bill of RIGHTS, not needs, you idiot.
Not only the signs are specific, the type must be 1” or larger. There are some signs which use 3/4” type and they are null and void.
So, we are being led to believe that the shooter would NOT have walked into the store with the gun in his waistband(?) and seen a sign stipulating that guns were NOT allowed???
Watch it, bud!
Why not sue for a murder ban?
We have open carry here.
Earlier this month I saw a father with 4 daughters from less than hip high to almost shoulder high in tow.
Open carry. I said to him, “I love Nevada”, and pointed at his hip. He grinned and said “Me too.”
I would have loved to get a picture of him and his daughters (from behind, no faces!) walking down the aisle in the Smith’s (a Kroger owned) grocery store, and caption it with:
We’re serious about
protecting our daughters
Behave accordingly!
It would make a great meme...
The law said nobody under 18 could smoke or buy booze. That didn’t stop us young punks from walking around school with packs of Marlboros thinking we were badasses, nor did it stop us from buying 6 packs of Bud.
