I have never heard optimism spoken of as moral courage or a part of a moral code before now, but I’ll contemplate the moral courage of optimism.
Without getting too personal, how old are you?
When I was a kid there were five or six vaccines required to go to school. And they were for diseases like polio that were known to be extremely dangerous.
Today in some states there are 55 required immunizations. And many are for diseases like mumps which, while unpleasant, have never killed anybody. And yet we are going to violate the liberty of people to control what goes into their body (or their child’s)?
Further I believe the pharma companies have not been playing straight with us about dangerous components such as mercury, aluminum, and aborted fetal tissue. This is a classic unholy alliance between an industry and government. The industry bribes government to make their product mandatory, and then sells it’s product to government which, by its own law, must buy it.
At the same time exempting vaccine makers from ALL civil liability (an advantage enjoyed by NO OTHER American industry).
No, that all stinks to high heaven. And they are successfully using fear to induce most of you to go along with it.
You are obviously ignorant of the issues in regards to CURRENT vaccines. They are administered 5 vaccinations or more in one shot with highly questionable ingredients mixed in. Most anti-vaccine people I know are not against proven vaccines, but there is a lot of garbage being pushed by large pharmaceutical companies with very little testing. Think global warming “science” but with our health!
Just wanted to let you know it not just simply vaccinate or not vaccinate but how and what kinds.
Hopefully, that will enlighten your simplistic ignorance of the issues.
Vaccines have saved millions of lives from death and crippling disease. Only the ignorant and the foolish refuse to vaccinate their kids.

to vaccinate or not
to vaccinate the US recommended vaccines or not.
Two very different issues.
I for example slow-vacinated my children using only the severe life threatening vaccines: Polio, DPT, Pnumococcus.
We passed on what was once known in medicine as the Welfare shots (the Hep vacs - give them while the baby is small, or else they will never get them) the Daycare shots (MMR and Chickenpox)

The children were amazingly healthy.
Most had chickenpox.

It is *NEVER* appropriate to physically assault someone for their mere political views, votes, or activism. Never.
People who let mere words, political opinions, and votes push them into violent action need to be removed from the human race with 9 grams to the cerebellum, regardless of ideology.

Seriously though, forced vaxes, forced injections into harmless children is pretty vile assault with longer term health damage.
Forced vaxes is a very violent act.
So don’t have your kids vaccinated. But no access to public schools.

My daughter was vaccinated for measles. And came down afterward with the worst case of. measles ever. So sick she was not allowed in the hospital emergency room when she fell and hit her head—it was bleeding profusely.
I do remember polio, though. A boy in my neighborhood got it and was crippled for life. My mom wouldn’t let me play with anyone the year that happened. When that vaccine came along, I made sure my kids got it right away.
I never get flu shots though. Just say healthy on my own.
Unfortunately a very tiny percentage of the population has adverse reactions to vaccination. Overall the vast good of preventing dangerous killing and crippling diseases outweighs the risks.

Unless you are the parents of a child who gets harmed by the vaccination. Try convincing them that they should be concerned with the common good.
If only there were a vaccine against the anti vaxxers!

My problem is that they want to load up an 18 to 36 month old with so many vaccines at the same time. Space them out! That being said, I think it is important for children to get certain vaccines before they enter the school system, especially now.
