Besides all you are pointing out, if someone shuts down the current demand for petroleum products, a number of third world countries will stop having the ability to feed themselves. And they will have to go next door to find food, and that group won’t have that much to give as they will be oil producing nations dependent upon world wide sales, also. Get ready for WW III. We’ve gone full circle to Maslow’s hierarchy theory. Only this will be imposed by fools.
