Over the last year I have decided to not buy anything “Made in China” if at all possible.
This does not mean I have not purchased items made in China. However, given the choice, I do not. It used to be difficult with clothes. Now, many items are made in other countries. It is extremely difficult with power tools to buy non Chinese manufactured tools today.
So, I have to believe that other people feel the same way.
It is kind of like people who were against buying Japanese cars back in the 1980’s & 1990’s. I think that buying American is a WINNING Trump MAGA/Keep America Great campaign pitch. People would unite around it.
You do not have to say: don’t buy products from China. Just say buy American if you can. People will understand you mean do not buy “Made in China”.
When Walmart’s sales of those items go down, they will tell their suppliers to give them under ware made in some other country other than China. (my last under ware purchase were Hanes made in the Dominican Republic)
Great post and all true.
Its tough with cars though because even though I bought a Dodge Challenger, who the heck knows where the individual parts were made anymore?
