About the El Paso shooter..
self

Posted on 08/05/2019 2:52:17 AM PDT by eastexsteve

Just a thought, but has anyone noticed that in every picture of this guy, he doesn't seem to be carrying much - if any - backup ammo? I own a 7.62x39 rifle, and those ammo magazines are big and bulky. They are MUCH bigger and heavier than 5.56/.223 rounds. And, he supposedly fired HOW MANY ROUNDS?

Seems I heard on the news’s he had two drum magazines. I don’t know how many rounds he had in them though. In the early days of M-16 development the drum was tested but never issued as it was prone to jams.

That is the Dayton shooter and not the El Paso shooter.

Seems I heard on the news’s he had two drum magazines.

I own AR-15s chambered for both and there is a world of difference in the size vs capacity of the magazines. To carry five 20-round magazines for the 7.62x39 model I have, you need some serious pockets. That’s why I posted the question. And, the AK-47 mags are even bigger and bulkier in size. This guy doesn’t look to be carrying anything other than what is in the rifle.

Anyone seeing much information on the El Paso shooters?!? It’s dropped off the media for me. Surprisingly much info on the Dayton shooter, not so much for El Paso. Strange.

There are drum magazines available for both calibers.

I guess it is a matter of personnel opinion.

The Dayton shooter is a Registered Democrat, and voted in two Democrat primaries.
The one in El Paso, the section of his manifesto entitled “Economic Reasons” is by far the most shocking part, in terms of directly contradicting the media spin that this shooter was somehow far-right. He explicitly expresses his support for “a basic universal income,” which he says is the only thing that can “prevent widespread poverty and civil unrest.” He then goes on to support “ambitious social projects like universal healthcare.” Later, he claims that the American lifestyle “is destroying the environment of our country,” and that “the decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations.”
So clearly this killer supports some of the most openly socialist policies in American political discourse today, including universal income, socialized medicine, and a belief in “global warming.” Yet, according to the media, he is somehow just another “far-right” shooter who has been motivated by President Trump.

At least one woman and her daughter reported seeing four men dressed in black shooting.

I wonder what the authorities will do with that information, discount it, hide it.

He was a “right wing nut job” who wanted to shoot brown people to reduce global warming. Seriously.

I’ve wondered about that too. Maybe it’s an AK-74? Basically 5.56mm in a shorter case?
