Dunno about this one but I have liked every single movie Tarantino has put out. The guy is incredibly creative.
Although he has had some entertaining films, some are far-fetched with the lack of police.
The late ‘60s in Hollywood is a pretty fascinating time. Hippie culture taking off while the “old guard” — John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, etc. — are still bankable stars. Drug-fueled horror in the person of Manson waiting in the wings. Tarantino seems the perfect guy to bring that crazy time back to life.
I even liked "The Hateful Eight."
The only Tarantino movie I had trouble with was "Reservoir Dogs" and it's mainly because of that cop torture scene. I just can't bring myself to ever watch that movie again because of that one scene.
Incredibly derivative you mean. His time working at the video store was well spent. Cribbed so much. Only QT movie I ever liked was Jackie Brown.
I just watched True Romance, a 1993 film. Tarentino wrote the script.
Starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Tom Sizemore, Michael Rapaport.
It was bloody hilarious brilliant.
Check it out.
Consider that just making ONE Great Movie — is more than the vast majority in Hollywood EVER did.
