House Democratic leaders were successful Wednesday in staving off a bid to impeach President Trump, but the effort is far from dead. A handful of Democrats added their names last week to the long list of lawmakers now endorsing an impeachment inquiry, growing the tally to more than a third of the caucus. Rep. Al Green, the Texas Democrat who forced last week's impeachment vote, is threatening to revisit the issue later this cycle. And Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), who had introduced articles of impeachment in the last Congress, says he plans to do so again, likely after the long August recess.

Too Stupid To Learn
2 FUGLY BOOKENDS!! They don’t a three digit IQ together!! WHAT kind of people elect these MORONS? Obviously, other morons.....good grief.
Just have missed the memo. Impeachment is out racist is the new topic
Nancy can’t even run her caucus but they want to run the whole damn country?
It’s about time for some female to accuse Green of sexual assault and force him out.
Alley Oop and his pet dinosaur Dinny.
So, Green and Cohen haven’t learned anything from the last spanking. And this is news?!
KFC Cohen.
It’s racism.
“Dumb” and “Dumber.”
Yeah Cohen will back Marxists and Islamists till they put him in a cattle car to a concentration camp/ gulag.
Didn’t think the Dems were that STUPID, but here they are!
Half a league half a league half a league younder, into the valley of death road the dem house members (apology to Tennyson).
Hey Al, you’re taking this Angry Black Man schtick a wee bit too far!
If this idiot isn’t already a Muslim, or member of the Nation of Islam...he can’t be far!
What a miserable prick!
Have those impeachment democrats cleared their intentions with their leaders, namely “the squad”?
A watermelon is the only thing that could run against and beat Steve Cohen.
Republicans are the stupid party. Democrats are the weapons grade stupid party.
This is all so, so, so implausible. The Democrats claim to have mountains of evidence that President Trump is unfit for office and has committed high crimes — all of it already in the public domain and dispositive. But an impeachment vote just taken could not garner anything close to 100 votes.
Into Congress comes a highly reluctant Mueller on July 24, who has spent $40M to issue a 400-page, supposedly exhaustive report that he insists he will not embellish upon. But but but ... Somehow he discloses an overlooked fact, soundbite, insight or whatever that ends up profoundly important. Congress immediately adjourns until after Labor Day, at which point this factoid/whatever has persuaded 218 Dems to impeach.
Really?

Here are Mueller’s two options. First, he can go all in, trying to make this scenario real. Second, he can read the obvious position that AG Barr has put him in, which is to take his anti-Mueller investigation to its full logical and obvious ends. Under option #2, Mueller double-crosses the Dems and during his testimony he distances himself from as many shenanigans as he can in order to save his own skin.
I don’t actually see a third option for Mueller whereby he somehow threads the needle in some middle ground way. The Dems clearly think they have Mueller in the bag and so I would bet on option #1. But AG Barr is not to be underestimated either and Mueller is such an egotistical weasel that I will not be surprised at a double-cross.
I wouldn’t want to be Mueller. Ha!
