How do you shape a story? You get in front of the story, you start defending and pushing the narrative that will work best in your defense. You get a guy who worked for Epstein who now suddenly wants to tell us how gross he found the naked lady pics. The emphasis is supposed to be on naked pictures of ladies....not any pedo stuff. So yeah, Epstein was a gross sex guy, but he was just into naked lady stuff.
Also, the "bathhouse/temple" sits on a mountain, well away from the house. Why would you put the gym on the other side of the island?
Now, if you wanted to dig a lot of tunnels, or have an underground gathering place/altar...you build a dummy gym which is really the entranceway for the lower level...and how many levels are there? Locating the temple on a mountain gives more depth to work with, depth that can be used for derpish deviltry.
