A heated exchange among two customers and the manager of a Florida Burger King who spoke Spanish in the restaurant was caught on video and viewed 22,000 times on social media.
Go back to Mexico if you want to keep speaking Spanish, a woman is heard telling the manager as she and another woman are seated with her meal.
Guess what, maam? Im not Mexican," Ricardo Castillo, who is of Puerto Rican descent, said. "Youre being prejudiced and I want you out of my restaurant right now.
Castillo is seen arguing with the women and defending his right to speak Spanish as a Puerto Rican American in the Eustis restaurant about 40 miles north of Orlando.
When I heard You cannot speak Spanish in public, I grabbed my phone and I was like, Hold up,'" customer Neyzha Borrero, who recorded the exchange, said.
She started recording from her seat before moving to see the two women in a booth arguing with Castillo.

Hit the road, Ricardo.
Bienvenidos a los Estados Unidos. Hamblamos ENGLISH aqui.

The customer was an ass...
My legal immigrant grandparents spoke their native tongue in public. So did my parents who were born here. No one to my knowledge ever told them to go back to where they came from. And BTW the manager was born HERE.
This is a national news story, right.
Shame. But its what one has come to expect. I recently watched their morning show where they lied and tried to tie Trump to Epstein, never once mentioning Bill Klinton, Epstein's democrat donations, Epsteins long ties to democrats, or that even Epstein partied with people from their own network, like Katie Couric when he got out jail.
Puerto Ricans in Eustis? The times they are changing. The small town interior of the state of Florida is quickly Hispanizing.
I do have a problem when a non-English speaker talks to me in another language and expects me to understand them. But if people of the same tongue want to talk to each other in that language I dont care at all. Grew up with that around me all my life. This manager was probably talking to his staff in Spanish. What business was it of the customer? I always did and still do envy the fact my eldsers could speak another language besides English
In my opinion this is another STAGED scenario.
The ONLY time I have ever seen anyone get upset with someone speaking another language was when they were the customer and the employee refused to interact with them in English. 1 time about 20 years ago. Manager intervened.
My wife is from Japan - we had one incident back in the 90s where a fast food employee made fun of her because of her accent. She came home in tears. Girls were very young and only knew mommy was crying. In that episode I went and gave the manager a piece of my mind for allowing it. She acknowledged it happened but didn’t feel it was a big deal. We never returned and I told people I knew in the area of the incident.
So 2 incidents in 50+ years both in the 90s. I’ve never seen anyone customer or otherwise insist that someone couldn’t speak a language - unless to properly interact. Which is why I believe this was 100% staged for publication.

Lots of Puerto Ricans and Venezuelan in Florida.
Years ago immigrants learned English and only spoke their language in their home. It was a point of pride, they wanted to be Americans.
Ricardo is free to return to his s-hole territory.
Yes, this is created news with an agenda.
The most interesting part of this is that two customers made an issue of it. Maybe for right reason, maybe for wrong.
It does say, many are tired of political correctness and are starting to be bold. That is encouraging but it is a rough process.
They want to squash this but by putting on the news, many will also be emboldened.
Frame this as a political correctness issue, not racism.
I have two similar encounters in the last few years.
Both of the “I will speak Spanish, and “You, Gringo will have to learn it!” went broke shortly after my confrontations.
Both were shops where they altered clothing, drapes and even sewed from scratch items.
A Mongolian Sister combo, who speak great English, bought one of the shops, and the really nasty one went out of business.
It is a lot more fun to Start speaking in German about them to your spouse and keep looking at them and laughing while speaking German.
My parents and grandparents spoke to each other in Italian in public. BFD. He wasn’t requiring her to order in Spanish.
