Of course, but most cops at a homicide scene will not be providing the media with details like that.

And they'll usually wait for one of their spokespeople to reveal that information. Ya got to be careful about what ya tell the press, especially in criminal cases. It's irrelevant anyway because all that really matters is what the cop shooter perceived at the time of the shooting.
