Another American history lesson for your viewing pleasure. God bless America and God bless President Trump and his lovely First Lady.

Thanks! I love all the layers in the symbolism in the Liberty Bell "as is", especially what was not intended.

"Pass and Stow". It's an instruction.

pass: move or cause to move in a specified direction; change from one state or condition to another; die (used euphemistically).

stow: pack or store (an object) carefully and neatly in a particular place.

A message about something very important (hmmm) needing to be stored away (archived) for safekeeping is in plain sight on the Liberty Bell.

There's so much more.

Let freedom ring.

Why is it the focus has always been on the date of the Declaration of Independence. Not when we were actually officially recognized as an independent nation ? A newly created country.

John Marshall, the longest-serving Chief Justice, began the trend of increasing the Supreme Court's power by using an expansive reading of the enumerated powers, thereby advancing the view of the supremacy of the Supreme Court through "judicial review."

It was a great story until we got to that part. The enumerated power clearly grant the Supreme Court the power to decide the constitutionality of a law. Imagine instead that Congress sat in sole judgment of the Constitutionality of its own laws, an option already foreseen and rejected in the Federalist Papers.

And no, I am not taking the side of pandering judges abusing the discretion of their offices.

Just like the Hebrews never forgot their history, I hope we the USA never forget or abandon ours.

The full Washington quote:

Washington then immediately appointed chaplains to each regiment, ordering that:

“Officers and soldiers ... attend carefully upon religious exercises. The blessing and protection of Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public distress and danger -

The General hopes and trusts, that every officer and man, will endeavor so to live, and act, as becomes a Christian Soldier, defending the dearest Rights and Liberties of his country.”
