Hoplophobia could use a new name. My first thought is somebody afraid of the Hops plant, as in for beer.
Too many syllables and moving parts. I’m still struggling with the tedious spelling of “Millennial”, every time I write it down.
It reminds me of trying to spell Mississippi.
The Latin “Phobi” translates in to “Fear”. Fear is not what the Left has for us, it Hate, for which the Latin can be any one of the following, as seen in WordHippo https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/the/latin-word-for-c3ace180d336809b090fd07b757db8a64257770b.html:
odio verb dislike
odium noun hatred, odium, dislike, ill will, spite
odi verb loathe, detest, dislike, be displeased, be disgusted
invidia noun envy, jealousy, odium, unpopularity, hatred
contemno verb despise, scorn, condemn, disparage, belittle
perodi verb loathe
invideo verb envy, grudge, begrudge, overlook, refuse
odeo verb dislike
So perhaps AmericaOdic , AmericaOde.
Or AmericaContemnic , AmericaContemmo
Or AmericaPerodic , AmericaPerode
What say you?
Ive been using the term Theophobia and it really pisses people off.
Oikaphobia. Yeah, it exists
and the word is spectacular.
I ask the question
Do
You LOVE America or hate America ?
Simple question.
No
Middle ground
Our great and wonderful president is a master at putting them on the other side of the America haters.
Why bring in America at all? After all, America encompasses Canada and Mexico as well as evil USA. That is why woke Guardianistas call us “USians”. So, I’m going with USianphobic.
Since the left has perennially perverted the language, they are indeed using “the fear of” as describing “the haters of” so I’m sticking to the same construct. Like Rush, I like meeting the absurd with absurdity, and the irrational with more irrationality.
