Keto means high fat/high protein/low carb.
Means kidney damage too if not real careful.
FYI, keto is high fat, MODERATE protein, low carb. ;)
Too much protein can kick you out of ketosis (or so they say).
I ate a lot of protein (I lift but not extremely heavy) but never got kicked out of ketosis.
I think the secret re: protein is to keep it within the bounds of what you need given your work-out schedule. There are a lot of good rules of thumb online as to how many grams of protein to eat a day given your size and activity.
In other words, balanced macros depending on activity...but mostly fat (since keto is basically a switch of a body's fuel from carbs to fat).
