“After those acts the number of reps does not exceed 1 per 30,000 and hence do not contradict the constitution.”
I did not say they ‘contradicted’ the Constitution. My contention is that the Acts ‘amend’ the Constitution by limiting the total number of Reps each State may have, instead of allowing the Constitution to do the limiting. As it did.
Pow! Got one! Pow! Got a SECOND one!
Hey, I'm in favor of counting illegals!
“They (the federalist papers) can be of some guidance as to intent but the have no legal weight. The Constitution is to stand alone as confusing as some people want to make it for their own benefit.”
You’re definition of a “legal” document is extremely narrow and one that no one here subscribes to. And in constitutional matters the Federalist Papers are extremely influential, partly because of the roll they played in ratifying our constitution and also because Madison and Alexander were authors that sat on the Constitutional Convention i.e., they wrote the constitution. Why is it you insist on poo pooing documents nearly as important as the constitution itself?
“The Federalist Papers were a series of advertisements/news articles written mainly by Jay and Adams to influence the ratification process of the newly written Constitution. They were meant to clarify questions that people had regarding the Constitution.
The authors of the Federalist Papers were Hamilton, Jay, and Madison.”
Thank you for the correction. I knew that but I still wrote the wrong name.
Whatever. Have a nice day.
Nice summary.
Previous census records going all the way back to the 1900s ask whether the person is a citizen or an alien. Also, one can find on the census what year someone was naturalized. Important in doing family history and all kinds of history and statistical studies about trends, etc Doing away with that question is criminal.
I would actually like an accurate count. /s
Yes it is. But so is Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, the Affordable Car Act, the decision called Roe versus Wade, the Department of Urban Development, all the rest of the New Deal and a whole lot more.

They are invaders and most certainly are NOT part of “their respective numbers”, it can be debated whether legal immigrants should be counted but illegals clearly shouldn’t be counted.
And your point is?
My point is I agree with you and I am piling on with a short list of other unconstitutional things our federal government does that no one is stopping. Well, I should at least say President Trump is trying to stop some of it.
