I'm glad they're having fun and are safe - so far.
That said, this is a really dumb idea for people with no prior sailing experience. Things can go south in a hurry in the open ocean.

Nice...about 2 years ago, a family who didn't know how to sail was sailing a broken down sailboat from Sarasota to Fort Myers (about 40 miles). They were lost...🙁
