No, not just TN, but TN has a long history accommodating Islam that goes back at least 30 years.

So Arabic in TN should be no shock.

Happening in Texas, too BTW.

They are popping up all over...

Regarding WV looks they only polled the academic communites of Morgantown (WVU) & Huntington (Marshall). I didn’t see the numbers of speakers or % population. Were they there & I missed it.

Arabic-speaking communities have had a long history in Michigan.

Until the past 20 years or so they were overwhelmingly Christian.

I’m surprised that Portuguese is the third most common language in Connecticut, I thought it would be Polish...

Thanks. Didn’t know that. My daughter worked in the tourism industry in Honolulu for four years. Her coworkers were a wonderful mix of people from all over the Pacific and a large number of Filipinos. The Pacific Islander culture was a joy.

More Germans have immigrated to the USA than any other ethnic group.

I would have guessed English/Irish.

A lot of Poles, including my relatives, were classified as “German” when the emigrated to this country, because at the time they were occupied by the Prussians.

Kurdish is different from Arabic. The alphabets are a lot alike.
