sounds similar to islam tactics
I saw a program on TV about Scientology. Some of these 60 minutes type shows can be dishonest but if it was true they are awful.
Didn’t you use to be a Scientologist? Or at least defended them quite a bit many years ago
L. Ron Hubbard was a completely insane sociopath. The story of his life and Scientology would make 10 good movies, or a least a fascinating miniseries.
How does someone like this get away with grifting and crime year, after year, after year without every paying the consequences? He was the ultimate con man in every facet of his life. Take a look at the Wikipedia article for a real eyeopener.
I’ve watched both seasons of Leah Remini’s series of Scientology. Each week she’s had 2-5 witnesses to their controlling peoples children and takiing them away from them and in a few cases denying medical care.
Supposedly Miscavige’s woof hasn’t been seen by more than a few close to her husband people in years. LAPD follow-upon a call and went there and the cop No other information provided..
Lastly, a dozen or so people have stated they have been beaten up by Miscavige or have seen him beat up others.
I recommend the series.
Lawyers say more lawsuits will follow. The first, filed in Los Angeles for an unnamed Jane Doe, outlines her life of alleged abuse in the church, including at the international spiritual headquarters in Clearwater.

Excerpt:
A team of eight victims' rights attorneys on Tuesday filed the first of what they promise will be a series of lawsuits against the Church of Scientology and its leader, David Miscavige, on behalf of defectors who say they suffered a range of exploitation from child abuse, human trafficking and forced labor to revenge tactics related to the church's Fair Game policy.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of an unnamed Jane Doe born in 1979, outlines her lifetime of alleged suffering in Scientology where she was subjected as a child at the Clearwater headquarters to abuse inherent to auditing, Scientology's spiritual counseling that can more resemble interrogation.
It states she joined the church's clergy-like Sea Org in California at 15, where people worked 100 hours a week for $46. She was at times held against her will. When she officially left Scientology in 2017, Doe was followed by private investigators and terrorized by the church as it published a hate website falsely stating she was an alcoholic dismissed from the sect for promiscuity, according to the complaint.
I bet they were watching NXIVM trial with much interest.
I read that Miscavige was a sociopath and a high school dropout, the classic cult leader. Supposedly, he was groomed by Hubbard to take his place.
The real question is whether the IRS is monitoring this. If COS loses these lawsuits the IRS would have to reexamine their eligibility for the religious tax exemption. Ouch!
I just pass them this afternoon in Hollywood. They are “super’ aggressive at the closest train station Sunset/vermont every day. They target tourists who want to see the Hollywood sign when they get off the train station to board the Dash bus.
It’s actually a hilarious pitch: “hey man, wanna see a movie?”
(insert jokes)
It must have been in the 1970s that I read an article about a live rattlesnake being left in the mailbox of a critic of Scientology. The first time that I became aware of that cult’s fanatical hostility against its critics and its defectors.
Leah Remini’s voice still drives me nuts.
But she is doing God’s work exposing these creeps.
