Even stranger is the comments on the site says this is 2009 data.
Most of the Data is from the end of 2017 and some from 2016 which these days is ancient history. I am not sure which data that poster is referring to because I didn't see anything that old. Might be a little bit of exaggeration.
The 2009 data comment is in reference to the squaretrade article referenced in the preceding comment, and not to the data in this article.
I also find it interesting that no mention is made of the fact that apple updates the older devices and slows them down, to force people to want upgrades.
That was referring to the link in comments to the Square Trade site link which had very old data. Square Trade usually works on out-of-warranty computers, and generally not very many Apple products. Few Apple users send their products to Square Trade. Usually Square Trade only gets Apple products from third-party refurbished products warranty resellers.
