The Golden State Warriors aren't letting their NBA Finals defeat or their mounting hospital bills turn them into haters. The team showed Monday it's still very much willing to show respect where it is due.
The Western Conference champions took out a full page ad in the Toronto Star on Monday congratulating the Raptors on their championship, the first for a team based in Canada. The Raptors defeated Golden State in a six-game series that featured key injuries to several Warriors, including stars Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.
The print, which was timed to run on the same day as Toronto's championship parade, features Stephen Curry and Toronto guard Kyle Lowry sharing a postgame embrace and reads:
"The Golden State Warriors congratulate the Toronto Raptors on their historic achievement and bringing the 2019 NBA Championship to the City of Toronto."

Warriors aren’t the Oakland Warriors because when they moved out of San Francisco (1) Oakland was too embarrassing; and (2) they were going to split their home games between Oakland and San Diego, an arrangement that fizzled out quickly.
I think in this case class and nba is an oxymoron.
No excuse for that. Conditions were less than ideal although the weather was beautiful. Crowd was huge and standing around for 3 hours longer than expected as the parade was slow and stopped numerous times. Subway stations were shut down and not being serviced due to the crowds. Lots of families but of course the gang types showed up as well.
I watch almost no sports. World’s Strongest Man, CrossFit Games, and Track & Field.

As if anyone cares what the Warriors think of the Raptors. I clicked on the SF Gate page and wow, tons of ads and video. Unreadable. Oh, and SF Gate does not know class. They are grade school perverts pretending to be writers.
The new stadium in SF for the Warriors will be spectacular. Sadly, it will be too expensive for many working class fans.
