I love Berube and am glad the Blues won, but they are some foul mouthed individuals!

I had to turn the volume down it was so horrific listening to that blather! They should bring some of the old Mets announcers out of retirement. They were the best!

Congrats Blues. That’s one more team who now has a championship which before didn’t. Maybe Toronto can make it a double tonight.

As one who is old enough to have seen the Bruins beat the Blues for the 1970 Stanley Cup, I hand it to the Blues on this victory. They came into Boston Garden and totally shut the Bruins down on offense. Not just with their goaltender but with the relentless pressure that had the Bruins misfiring on all cylinders.
I don't feel bad about the Bruins loss because the Blues decidedly outplayed them. Wasn't even close.

Don’t say that too loudly around Canadian teams (lol)...the McSorley curse is now 26y.

Well said, Sam. I'm just mystified why a great team like the Bruins failed - over three periods - to figure out how to break through the Blues' relentless pressure.
And I'm (slowly) learning that 'home ice advantage' doesn't mean much. At least it didn't in the Bruins-Blues series.
Congrats to the Blues.

Blues' goalie Jordan Binnington was awesome tonight... just incredible. I have a photo of Binnington on my iPhone from 2015 or so, playing in Springfield, MA as goalie for the Providence Bruins. Ya just never know... Actually, thanks to the photo organization on my iPhone, I found that I took that picture on April 4, 2018 at the Springfield (MA) Thunderbirds (Florida Panthers AHL team).
So Jordan Binnington was a goalie in the Boston Bruins' system pretty recently.

At the end of the 1st period I knew it was over——the Bruins didn’t seem to have the fire in their belly that was needed.

Those teams in the 80s ran into Edmonton and in late 90s Colorado and Detroit powerhouses

What mystifies me is that they DID figure that out in previous games vs. the Blues.

Binnington has always been property of the Blues. The Blues didn't have an AHL affiliation in 2017-18, so a few prospects were loaned to other AHL teams. Still, somewhat ironic that he spent a little time in the Bruins organization.
