Raptors rip Warriors to take commanding 3-1 NBA Finals lead

OAKLAND, Calif. — It may now all be up to Kevin Durant and the state of his calf strain to save the Warriors from doom.

Before Friday’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Steve Kerr was asked about that night being potentially the final Warriors game at Oracle Arena.

“The mindset is, let’s make sure there’s two more games here,’’ the Golden State coach said.

The Warriors did not get that done, despite controlling the first half, and now the champs’ legs are wobbling.

The Raptors rolled in the final two periods as Kawhi Leonard lifted his squad onto his shoulders with a 17-point third quarter to finish with 36 points and 12 rebounds in a 105-92 victory.

The Social Justice Warriors got their butts handed to them by the Raptors again in their own house. How sweet it is.

I’m just a-waitin’ for someone who doesn’t care about basktball, never goes to a game, wakes up one morning and decides they are ‘offended’ by the team name ‘Raptors’.

“It looks SO close to the word “Rapers”.
Can U change the name? Thx in advance!!”

The Box score tells an interesting story:

Leonard - 36 PTS 41 Min.
Ibaka - 20 PTS 22 Min.
Siakam - 19 PTS 41 Min.
Lowry - 10 PTS 37 Min.

Thompson - 28 PTS 42 Min.
Curry - 27 PTS 43 Min.
Green - 10 PTS 41 Min
Looney - 10 PTS - 20 Min.

Leonard outscored Thompson by 8 points.

Ibaka, Siakam and Lowry outscored Curry, Green, and Looney by 2 points.

They desperately needed Curry to score around 40 points again, but he was guarded pretty well. I realize that Durant is not able to play, Looney sat out a couple of games and Thompson sat out last game. There's three games left with game 5 in Toronto, game 6 at Golden Gate, and game 7 in Toronto if necessary. It does seem that Toronto is going to win the championship.

I would have liked to have seen a 3-peat. Injuries have taken their toll of the Warriors. All season long though, they have been up and down. They have looked deadly and other times...WTF? But its the 5th time they have been to the finals which is amazing. Not done since the Celtics?

I think cousins being out a lot hurt them. Durant got hurt at a critical time too as we have seen, and if he isn't 100% there's no reason to put him out there and risk an injury which could sideline him going into the next season.

I would have to look up the record of the Celtics to know for sure.

I sure hope Warriors go down. Kerr can rot.

Problem is, the Sixers, the Bucks, and now the Warriors keep underestimating the Raptors and being complacent.

Also, not sure why the NBA got rid of the 2-3-2 format. I think it's time the NBA have The Finals in a neutral site.

Can’t believe Kawhibaby is leading the Raptors to the title. He was such a punk when he was with the Spurs.

Warriors are overrated. They won 1 ring without Durant while Kyrie & Kevin Love were hurt and while they had the great David Lee coming off the bench to save the series.

One thing that’s always been hard to swallow is that Toronto has almost always, historically, and reliably, had the absolute worst teams in pretty much all pro-sports, bar-none.

Nice to see one of them maybe bringing home a victory for a change. :P

If the Raptors win, will they have to visit Justin Trudeau?

Why would you think Sixers underestimated the Raptors? If Embiid hadn’t had the flu, they probably would have won the series.

Warriors are overrated.

Kevin Durant might be the best player in the league and probably would have won the series if he had been healthy.

But, I still happy to see this group of Trump-hating jackasses lose.

Hopefully, Durant will leave and their dynasty will be over.
