To learn about the horrors of Communism, just watch the HBO miniseries “Chernobyl”. I’ve watched two episodes so far and it is horrifying.
The horror was not just the accident and the resulting radiation, but also the denial and coverup by the Soviets. If Gorbachev and the other Soviet officials had not finally listened to the scientists, the Chernobyl-Pripyat area would have experienced an actual thermonuclear explosion which would have devastated Central and Eastern Europe.
Everyone should watch this miniseries, not only for the history, but to get a glimpse of the brutal truth of Communism.

Not really, he was actually a little late. Most likely just saw what was happening.
I was just going by what the “scientists” stated on the miniseries and I’ve also read the same thing from scientist on a website. I was trusting them.
I know much more about history than about Science, especially nuclear science.

No one with even only a B.S. in Physics would ever aver that any nuclear power plant disaster could result in a thermonuclear explosion.
