nope- just pointing out that one doesn’t need $200 sneakers when less expensive sneakers will last as long- longer in some cases- Spending $200 for sneakers is nothing but vanity cuz ‘all the cool kids have em’-

Of course you could buy $200 and use shoe goop as well, extending the life- but vanity usually doesn’t allow that kind of thing- and so it’s off to the store for another $200 pair of sneakers when the leather gets scraped or sole comes apart-

Pride on my part? No- Practical? Yes-

They won’t put money in a 401(K) for their own retirement, but will buy a $1000 cell phone that will be obsolete in 2 years.................

And spend $25 for the Grub Hub delivery to bring them a cold Big mac for lunch rather than buying $10 worth of cold cuts that would last a week. Oh, and then going to the beverage center and buying a $12 4 pack of some local IPA.

Actual science fact and God’s Word? Don’t confuse them with the facts they are too busy absorbed in Facebook, bad “true” television and selfies to worry about the future. It’s like an entire generation voluntarily became the “Jersey Shore” idiots while knowing better. Well, “American Psycho” depicted the vacuousness better.

“Young people blame climate change for their small 401(k) balances”

Their parents did a horrible job of raising children.

Why couldn’t that be a perfectly good purse for a wife?

Give it to your wife as an anniversary present and if you can still type the next day, let us know how she liked it............LOL!

Meanwhile, Lori Milliennial has her daily Starbucks habit, dines out constantly because she doesn’t know how to boil water and Lean Cuisine gets boring, buys designer clothes online, has a closet full of shoes, thinks saving & investing is an OFWG thing but hopes Mr. Right with his Maserati and Am Ex platinum card is just around the corner.

70 year OFWG here, now reaping the fruits of following that old saying, “A portion of all you earn is yours to keep”.

Also know as, “live below your means” (old Volkswagen ad for those who remember).

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Through pseudo-science backed by ideologically enslaved scientists forced to forgo truth for survival, under-educated and malleable constituents too dense to question and their general disinterest in politics which dictates their future.

Retirement?? I can’t wait to see them try to navigate the massive Student Loan debt they took on, coupled with the fact that They have been enslaved in perpetual debt to pay for our Wants.

I’ve put away 18% of my paycheck since age 25. I’ve never missed what I’ve never seen.

with my fumble fingers? Of course i suppose i could just call the horrible workmanship ‘art’ and it would sell like hotcakes i guess- just like the ‘ripped jeans’ that were so fashionable back when- They even have ‘soiled jeans’ with ‘dirt baked in’ to the fabric now- to make it look like a person does hard manual labor I guess- which were selling like hotcakes in NY not long ago- so i guess- just stick an ‘art’ label on it and call it good-

Back in 67-68, there was a fad material called ‘hopsacking’ that swept thru the fashion world: it looked and felt a lot like BURLAP.......................
