Video at link. By using the word "Test" he is not referring to official stress testing, but stating that expected rains are going to exert pressure on the dam's specifications and spillway.

I didn't watch the whole video, the first few minutes gives the idea.

The dam is ok. The repaired / replaced spillway is performing just fine. Just another nut job.

Its performing “fine” because they haven’t been running it anywhere near the maximum flow its supposed to be able to handle.

Sheriff Honea came out with a statement yesterday saying that based upon his questioning of everyone and evaluations up at the damn dam that for now he is not worried. If things change he will not hesitate to let us know. He set forth an evacuation before and won’t hesitate to do it again.

A) There's about roughly 145,000 CFPS of additional space in the Feather River to handle runoff.

B) There's about 9.5 feet of headspace in the dam right now, that equates to about 7% of the overall capacity.

Expected inflows is about 35,000 CFPS, expected outflows through the Hyperion Plant is 25,000 CFPS, expected outflow into the Feather River is 25,000 CFPS.

The spillway has already demonstrated use at 65,000 CFPS, maximum spillway flow in the past using the same design has been 295,000 CFPS; since it is nearly 5 times as thick at most places now, I don't expect there’d be much of a risk of large outflow.

Holy Californicate. That dam/spillway is going to be seriously tested.

I believe it is performing fine - for now. It is brand new, smooth. Wait a few years, toss in some neglect because CA has all those other higher priorities like taking care of illegals and cleaning human feces, drug paraphernalia off the streets, sex ed for preschoolers, etc. When there are imperfections and discontinuities...then they start flowing some serious water... That’s when the low pressure cavitation starts, hammers the structure, starts breaking up concrete. Then there will be a lot of finger pointing at the designer, the contractor, maintenance, politicians... Who knows, maybe next time there will be a catastrophic failure. I’m fairly certain there will be some kind of serious issue with the dam or spillway within my lifetime.

Alleged 'governor' Jerry Brown's legacy is the once-and-former (ha ha) High Speed Rail at the expense of legitimate public safety projects such as maintenance of the Oroville Dam spillway.

As bad as the 'bullet train' was (and it's beyond horrible), please consider (and IIRC) Mister Brown's VETO of a bipartisan bill to thin the massive forest fuel overgrowth, including the area of Paradise in which a subsequent 2018 wildfire claimed 85 (eighty five) wonderful, innocent, trusting people were burned alive.

Mister Brown has expressed zero remorse or conscience issues about the horrific result of his veto.

I found this guy Juan with the blancolirio channel on youtube doing updates on Oroville reconstruction last year and have been following his updates every since. Here is his most recent Oroville update https://youtu.be/D-kpNw7PpeE
He is a great citizen reporter trying to counter all these people trying to scare everybody for youtube hits about this dam. He has a ton of videos he did showing reconstruction and was present for many of the construction meetings too. He did a great job keeping up with this story and countering the scaremongers!

I think the feather river below will only allow for about half the flow the spillway was designed for anyway.

Yeah I understand, it may have to get used, I just don’t believe there is any problems with the new spillway like I keep seeing reported on youtube. Repairs are done and it is ready for use. I read today that the top 10’ of the lake is 200,000 acre feet of storage. Seems to me, having all the lakes full is a good thing compared to what I have seen in previous years driving by seeing all the lakes looking empty.
