Post-Roman Britain is one of my favorite periods to study and read about-anything connected to it adds to the clarity if what are called-wrongly, I think-the Dark Ages-it wasn’t dark for anyone with money to buy the luxury goods like wine from Gaul/France, silks from the East, glass, marble, etc-still being shipped from all over the known world...

Canadian author Jack Whyte’s series of books-”The Camulod Chronicles” is heavy on the history, and an interesting take on those times-they are a good read...
