FULL TITLE: 'The best horse did NOT win!' Trump blasts controversial Kentucky Derby reversal as 'political correctness' after winning horse is disqualified for 'impeding' another's path
President Donald Trump added his outrage on sunday to the national dustup over Saturday's controversial Kentuky Derby finish, complaining that disqualifying the apparent winning horse for interfering with another is a sign of 'political correctness' run amok.
'The Kentuky [sic] Derby decision was not a good one. It was a rough and tumble race on a wet and sloppy track, actually, a beautiful thing to watch,' Trump wrote on Twitter.
'Only in these days of political correctness could such an overturn occur. The best horse did NOT win the Kentucky Derby - not even close!'
Trump misspelled 'Kentucky' in 'Kentucky Derby.'
The 145th running of the Triple Crown's most fabled race disintegrated into sportsmanship chaos after judges disqualified first-place finisher Maximum Security and declared runner-up Country House the winner.
TV viewers also were outraged by the result, blasting the race stewards who made the controversial call.
'Fixed! I'll never watch this again! Shame on you!' one fan declared in a tweet.
'Shameful! It was clear who won! #MaximumSecurity', added another.
While thousands were left shocked by the disqualification, it was very welcome news for one bettor who put money on Country House, an underdog with odds of 65-1.
According to sports analyst Darren Rovell, the person placed $2,500 on Country House before winning a whopping $133,000 in return.

Trump tells the truth AGAIN.
“Trump misspelled ‘Kentucky’ in ‘Kentucky Derby.’”
Clearly an impeachable offense! Alert Mad Maxine!
Its a real cluster to choose to get involved in, I assume he knows what hes doing.
The best horse didn’t win.
So why bother running the race? Give the trophy to the favorite.
There are many times when the best horse doesn’t win.
Pity we can’t trust the Feebs.
If they weren’t so busy trying to unseat a duly elected president, they might have some time to go after racketeers...
How did he feel about the non-interference call in the New Orleans Saints last game?
I like Kevin Millar, a confusing but very lucky bet.
I don’t know why he’s wading into this one. I don’t see what PC has to do with it frankly. But I guess Trump speaks his mind, whatever the topic.
Trump should not get involved with this.
I didn’t see any more interference than usual myself but I only saw a quick review and not the multiple camera views the stewards had, and it was a unanimous decision by the stewards.
Is Country House a filly or have a black jockey or a black owner or a gay owner? That would explain a lot.
Maximum Security won’t get the $3 million purse but he’ll still probably get higher stud fees than Country House, which is where the big bucks are.
I read that the Saints have asked to be declared winner of the Kentucky Derby.
The jockey guides the horse...The “interference” was the jockey blocking out a competitor...
Same as a race car driver blocking another trying to pass...
I don’t see the problem...
Stacey Abrams claims she should be declared winner of the Kentucky Derby.
The best team doesnt always win.
President Trump is a human being, as are we all.
As such, he may on occasion say something wrong, or even something dumb. Like this.
Doesn't mean he isn't doing a good job, doesn't mean I won't vote to re-elect him.
He speaks our mind as well. I saw it, what is the freakin' deal, the jockeys weren't trading jabs and even though they are animals at full throttle in any race, even track sometimes runners give each other a "flat tire" or come close to it. This isn't Marcus of Queens-bury rules here this is mano-e-mano till' the finish, and they fubar'd that.
Another stab at our culture just like that idiot kneeling, and anything that destroys our culture he speaks out, and I am damn proud that he does. Am I the only guy that see's it? Maybe not...
I’m on board with 99.9% of his Tweets, but I question this one, at least let the smoke clear a bit before commenting.
I just don’t see the upside to this particular Tweet. It’s unnecessary “noise” to me.
And Obama mispronounced Corpsman on Veterans Day.
He pronounced it CORPS-MAN.
But Obama be the smartest man anywhere.
Unless Trump knows something we don’t.
