Maximum Security came within a hairsbreadth of taking down 3-4 horses and riders. It's the jockey's job to make sure that he does not change lanes recklessly.

President Trump is a human being, as are we all.

As such, he may on occasion say something wrong, or even something dumb. Like this.

Doesn't mean he isn't doing a good job, doesn't mean I won't vote to re-elect him.

I’m on board with 99.9% of his Tweets, but I question this one, at least let the smoke clear a bit before commenting.

I just don’t see the upside to this particular Tweet. It’s unnecessary “noise” to me.

LOL.

I would hope that one doesn't have to add an I'll-still-vote-for-Trump disclaimer just because they criticize Trump's silly Kentucky Derby tweet.

Good take on the incident and President Trump’s response.

TRUE. Moreover, I’ve watched the replays very carefully several times, including in slow-motion & there is NO situation where the 1st horse to cross the finish line, after interfering with at least 2 other horses & in such a situation as was likely to cause ALL of the leaders to fall, should not have been disqualified.

Professional jockeys know better than to cut-off an oncoming rival horse/jockey & thereby win a race that they should not have won
(Sometimes they actually get away with interfering with another horse or horses.)

The 3 stewards made the correct “judgement call”, imVho.

One of the commentators after the race said if this was a minor race rather than the Kentucky Derby, Maximum Security would have been eliminated immediately rather than waiting 40 minutes for the judgement. No doubt he interferred.

And a lot of times the best horse doesn't win. Sometimes he gets trapped against the rail and can't break loose.
