Never a good thing when I have to practice saying my name and have to be told that I have too much emotion in my name,” the 65-year-old continued. “I think I did seven takes on just my name because it was ‘too emotional.’ I go, ‘Is there too much emotion in the Oprah part or the Winfrey part?’ I was working on pulling myself down and flattening out my personality — which, for me, is actually not such a good thing.”
Winfrey was hired in January 2017 by CBS News to be a special contributor to "60 Minutes."

2017, huh. Never knew she was on the show but then I dumped 60 Minutes decades ago.
She’s chiming in today praising Meghan Markle’s choice not to have the (months overdue) baby at the hospital all royals are birthed in. Hey, Oprah, it’s none of your business.
I’m no big fan of this American-hating commie, but if what she says is true about them micro-managing how she says her name, she was right to leave. I can imagine the spineless, soulless, lack-of-imagination turds that run network TV. Also, all American-hating commies.

Oprah was on 60 Minutes and 60 Minutes is still on
Oprah has been on 60 minutes? For 2 years? Who knew...
This frees her for the presidential race, doesn’t it?
Oprah should appreciate how the Lefts propaganda machines work. She’s built her own over the years.
So then, Oprah doesn’t take direction well? She’s used to having her own show, running things as she sees fit? is that what is going on here?
Oprah was a host on 60 minutes? Who knew?
I stopped watching 60 Minutes when I realized it was not an information show but a propaganda show.
I escaped from the Socialist Bubble and my eyes were open to the truth, and the truth is, you will not find any truth watching 60 Minutes.

Warm, charismatic, amazing biz sense.
Oprah is also waaaay more friendly with dirty honky-haters than 98% of her fans realize.
Like Obama (”I felt like a partisan resistance member operating from behind enemy lines”), she has the amazing ability to appear utterly innocuous to the people buying her stuff, while actualy despising them.
Obama delighted in and wrote at length about this form of wizardry.
Oprah excels at the “black person who doesn’t have any of that SCARY ANGER”-role that crackers absolutely love, while actually being scarily angry at them (for one good reason along with a bunch of totally made-up ones).
One great step though:
She has stopped having those run-ins with backward-thinking snobby honky merchants at ultra-lux Euro retailers right before her movie releases, magically garnering total media saturation and boosting ticket sale$.
I think she has also started permitting Hawaiians to sometimes drive on her Oprah Highway on Maui, maybe.
Had no idea she was even on that show!! Didn’t even know 60 minutes was still on for that matter!
60 minutes survives on a reputation of ratings from decades ago. Over the decades it has morphed into a final resting place for aged journalists who the network had no other room for and they didn’t want to fire. As the stories shifted to anti-Trump anti-Conservative they continued to lose credibility, didn’t they fire Lara Logan who criticized the media for liberal bias? Hiring Oprah is like FOX hiring that Black CNN debate question leaker, a boneheaded move moving the chairs on the titanic.
