Don’t take your dogs on a boat, esp a catamaran.

Dogs on a boat? Some dogs love it. My friends golden retriever couldnt wait to jump in the boat then the water. My dogs HATED the boat. Would hide anywhere they could.
Your correct about the catamaran ( unless its a huge one). And definitely not with the wind conditions they mentioned.

That was really a bad decision to go boating in weather like that. Not to mention bringing dogs.

Here's my favourite version of 'Girl From Ipanema'. NOT Stan Getz.

The lake nearby has Muskie. People on boats occasionally let their little dogs swim there too with predictable results.

Reminds me of when I was a kid fishing with Mom. There was mommy duck and little babies swimming towards shore. One at a time “gulp!”, down went a baby. There were large northern pike in the lake, which is a close relative of the muskie.
Another time we were trolling for walleye, and Mom had her fingers in the water, just playing around. A northern made a pass at her fingers and missed.
Norther pike are very vicious and will attack anything.

Not to mention jumping in to save her puppies.
