To say Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Endgame is making history in its box office debut is an understatement.
The superhero tentpole grossed $156.7 million on Friday in North America, putting it on course for a stunning domestic debut of $340 million-plus and a global launch of $1 billion. All are records, despite Endgame's lengthy running time of three hours.
Furthermore, overall weekend revenue in the U.S. will clock in at $380 million or more, an unprecedented stat. Until now, the most ever collected in one weekend was $314 million.

Since we’re making 3 hour movies now, are the Indians making 6 hour movies yet?
I don't think I understand your statement, unless I plain just missed the sarcasm tag. I don't think we are routinely making three hour movies; this one is just a little "out of the ordinary", if you will. And quite understandable to those following the MCU storyline.
The flick is getting a score of 93 from attendees at rotten green tomatoes movie reviews.

So I’ll go see the flick.
The last Star Wars movie got a score of about 65 from viewers so I didn’t bother to see the flick.
Typically you’ll feel like you got you money’s worth from any movie with a score over 90 from viewers. A score over 80 will not be a satisfying movie but you won’t feel like you were robbed. Under 80, and you’ll feel like you were robbed. Under 50 you’ll feel like you were robbed and spit on.
These movies are thoroughly enjoyable. I plan on buying the entire series on Blu-Ray.

Yeah, I agree. The end of the Infinity Saga, the culmination and climax of 22 movies, filmed over a decade, all interconnected, all advancing the story line, and promises of a satisfactory conclusion. Pretty remarkable really. I can’t think of any other cinematic event that has even come close to it.
Yeah, Normies really seem to enjoy them.
What is this in terms of actual ticket sales?
Saw it last night. Actually a solid movie experience.
Divide by 10. Id say average is 10 dollars. My AMC is 7 bucks but in nyc its probably 13 or so. Thats why I think 10 dollars is a good average.

Is it a dark movie. That is, are most scenes shot with low light? Do they go from one camera shot to another about once per second? Is there romance in it?
I’m just curious. Three hours is a long movie.
Superhero movies have a lot of screenings in IMAX and 3D where tickets are more expensive. So the average might be a little higher. So maybe a $11 or $12 average?
Yep it was already made with an intermission it was called Ghandi.
I downloaded it from piratebay on Thursday. Not a great copy but... https://thepiratebay.org
I am at the 1 hour mark. It is pretty boring so far.
Yeah, I know Chris Evans is a libtard, but who cares?
I just went for it yesterday - it didn’t feel like 3 hours (except for about 5 minutes of boredom at the battle scene).
A 3 hour movie, if balanced well, like this one, with equal parts action, emotion, character building etc. is a treat to watch.
There is still room for 1 hour or even less movies. The key point is always keeping the audience engrossed.
i have the entire set except Black Panther and Captain Marvel. I will be buying Captain Marvel. I didn’t like BP as I think the movie ruined the character, making him weak and there were too many internal inconsistencies. It’s a pity as BP is a great characters.
