The marketing for Star Wars 9 is due to begin at this week's Star Wars Celebration in a dedicated panel on Friday, April 12 at 9.00am-10.00am PT (12.00pm-1.00pm ET, 5.00pm-6.00pm GMT). It's here we're expected to get the title and first trailer for Episode IX, likely at the end of the hour if the approach taken with Star Wars: The Last Jedi is anything to go by. The Star Wars 9 Celebration panel, as with all major Star Wars events over the weekend, will be live-streamed on the official Star Wars YouTube channel and also on StarWars.com..

I find it hard to care about it anymore. Luke crapped all over the Jedi and the actor is a crypto communist.
I’l just download it off of a pirate site if I decide to watch it. The get none of my money.
Disney is going to find out from Episode IX just how bad Episode VIII really is.

If they had stopped with the ridiculous Ewok one, Return of the Jedi, I would have been happy.

They screwed up Star Wars so bad I’m surprised they aren’t seeing investor lawsuits over it.
In the end there were really only two good movies to the entire franchise, with the third being an acceptable story arc wrap up episode.
Second trilogy was just bad, had bad characters and bad scriptwriting and screwed up the lore and way too much unnecessarily complicated CGI in it.
Third trilogy is basically a big middle finger to everyone who liked the first trilogy, with the kind of political overhaul you’d expect in the USSR.
I thought the first third of return of the Jedi was great.

Last one I saw, a young darth vader was slicing and dicing jedi kids but they didn’t show it :)

The second trilogy completely changed what the Force was supposed to be. The midichlorian count nonsense is completely at odds with what Yoda taught Luke - as of Phantom Menace they were in an alternate reality not consistent with the original.

I completely agree. I can only remember one or two names of the characters. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but The Phantom Menace was much better than the latest movie. Yes, it was bad, but at least you remembered almost every part of it.
I’m hoping Episode IX will introduce Kylo Ren’s apprentice who is both evil and stupid, Kylo Stimpy.

Starwars is starwars... The music is epic.. thank you John Williams... Who by the way did jaws, Indy, fiddler on the roof, and lots more, but my favorite.... The battle of Midway.
