BEAVERTON, Oregon Washington County deputies cannot stop talking about a home burglary call Monday afternoon.
A call for help came from a Beaverton home just before 2 p.m.. Deputy Brian Rogers was one of the first on scene. He was met my two guys who were house sitting for their nephew.
They had been out walking their dog and when they came back and walked in the house they heard noises in the house and a bathroom door close, said Rogers.
Fearing that an intruder was in the home, Rogers and two colleagues suited up.
I have whats referred to as a long gun or rifle out, said Rogers. The detective and other deputy have their duty-issued handguns out.
The armed trio moved towards the bathroom. They heard a commotion.
It sounded like someone was trying to get out a window, said Rogers. I had a deputy post up at the back of the house to make sure the suspect couldnt bail out the back window of the bathroom.

Saw it....Better her than me..
Still and all, I don’t like that they now have lawn mowers that can communicated with vacuums.
Who knows what they’re planning!!!
Two guys walking THEIR dog. Probably fags.
What will it be like when people have robots to do the housework?
A Roomba is more intelligent than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez...even a cell phone is...
The treacherous Roomba strikes again! The last time reported here on FR was a 2:00 a.m. when one ran through a wet, mushy, pile of fresh puppy poop.
I’m dissappointed the Roomba didn’t make a clean get away.
Or it's dog?
yup
it wasnt a dog.
I am surprised they didn’t shoot the thing multiple times while shouting “STOP RESISTING, STOP RESISTING!!!!
Woke up in the middle of the night to loud repetitive bangs emanating from downstairs. It would stop for 10-15 seconds and then start again. Sounded like someone slamming a 2 X 4 board against the walls or kitchen counter. Very Loud!
I Woke up my husband ( former deputy sheriff). He hears it and immediately grabs his gun. Runs across the hall, grabs our 3 year old out of her room. Throws her on the bed with me. I watch as he heads downstairs, gun drawn, back against the wall, slowly making his way down the stairs.
This is before cell phones, so I grab the phone and call 911 and shakily tell the operator whats going on as far as I know it. 911 says help is on the way!(but We lived out in the country,, back off the road a ways.).
In that moment, I was terrified, scared for my husband. Im expecting to hear gunshots or yelling, but hear nothing....even the loud banging has stopped...
I can, even in the dark house, see my husband calmly coming back up the steps. He sees me on the phone and says tell them everythings okay .
He says that the noise was from a Mylar balloon that my daughter had gotten a few days before and was slightly deflated but still floating. It had gotten into a ceiling fan and was getting whacked by the blades. It would get pushed away and the air conditioning vent would blow it back into the ceiling fan! Talk about relief! 911 operator Still wanted to have the deputies come by, but we said not necessary. She could tell from my voice that I wasnt scared anymore!
That happened almost 30 years ago! Still chuckling about it but will never forget how I felt watching my husband go downstairs not knowing what could have happened to him.
