Burger King has removed an advert which shows western people trying to eat a burger with oversized red chopsticks following criticism on social media.
The advert for a new Vietnamese burger in New Zealand has sparked a debate over whether the advert is harmless fun or culturally insensitive and racist.
A clip of the advert posted to Twitter by Maria Mo, a Korean woman living in New Zealand, has been viewed more than 2.9M times.

Honestly, chopsticks should be criticized. How anyone thinks this is efficient way to eat is beyond me. Orientals are smart but they really fell down on eating tools and communication systems.

I don’t understand people who order Chinese food to take home then eat it with chopsticks. It doesn’t make the food taste better. I don’t even like to see non Asian people using chopsticks in a Chinese restaurant. If they really want to fit in then they should use the chopsticks properly. Shove small bites into your mouth as fast as you can until you get a mouthful then chew it up and swallow it. It ain’t pretty.
The Left is on a mission to destroy humor. The closest thing to humor that will be allowed is mocking conservatives.
Chopsticks are fine for some foods.
When my daughter and I went to Vietnam in 2000, our road-guide was amazed how well we handled them, to which we replied, “Well, we’re from Los Angeles”.
