I always cut it with lots of ice made from good distilled water. You are right I can not drink the hard stuff straight from bottle. Right now I am liking Ameretto + half&half...equal amounts. It is delicioso!
I am using a much easier & simpler method to control my pre-diabetic condition....I consume all my calories between 10am and 6 pm on week days. I eat meat, eggs, bread, potato, dessert and misc vegetables. I use sugar & cream in my coffee.
Has worked absolutely great to control my blood sugar without eliminating sugar, potatoes, bread etc from my diet.
Weird. It says canned tuna or chicken is a processed meat. So that would make all the meat that I have canned processed, just because they are cooked and shelf-stable.
I have a hard time believing an article written by a person named Ashkan .

Pass the salt, please. This fine cantaloupe is good but is just a little tastier with some salt on it.
;-)
Table salt isn’t the problem. The 1400mg of sodium in a Chinese dish is the problem.
My husband & I had whole body scans done recently just as a precaution. Im 63 & weigh 148, eat very little red meat, mostly turkey or chicken, lots of veggies, very little bread, etc. & just retired from a 30 year desk job. Ive never smoked & rarely drink. He is 68, no body fat at all, works outside all day with animals. He eats 3 thick slices of bacon & 2 sausages every day, steak or red meat every day, drinks beer, etc. and dips tobacco
My scan showed I have some plaque buildup in my left side near my heart & I was advised to lose 12 pounds & do 30 minutes of cardio a day because I have a chance of heart attack. I was told I should have another scan in 1 year.
My husband had very little plaque buildup and was advised he could wait 3 years for his next scan. .
After a radiologist further reviewed the scan, however, he found my husband has a small aneurysm that needs to be monitored & he was advised to get a cardiologist.
While I was shocked at both diagnoses, I feel like we are far better prepared now and we are taking serious action to reverse the negatives. I would advise anyone over 50 to do the same. I have gifted scans to my children for their birthdays this year.
“And once the socialists get a permanent hold of your healthcare, theyll make you eat what they want you to eat, and theyll make you stop eating what they want you to stop eating.”
Sounds paranoid UNTIL people consider that China is tracking what people buy, particularly booze, and is using that information as part of their ‘Social Credit Score’.
And it makes sense for them to do so, since the GOVERNMENT is paying their healthcare system to take care of the ‘bad choices’ that their people make...
“No, they keep pushing that because they want us dead.”
I doubt they care either way - to them it is simply MONEY.
Just read the posts and the posts on similar FR threads. You see people singing the praises of Keto and other very low carb diets - but NOT A SINGLE PERSON here saying anything good about Weight Watchers or similar operations.
We at FR are, by nature, skeptical of what the government and big business, including Big Carb, tells us, and we’re also a small band of paranoid kooks. But think of what will happen if what we know is true should ever become mainstream. Literally MILLIONS of jobs would be displaced in this country as the economy adjusted to our new eating habits. The big losers are the people running Big Carb, and their huge salaries - they will be sent to the cleaners. And just like Big Tobacco, they STOP AT NOTHING to prevent that from happening.
True.
That old series Amish Cooking in Quilt Country said the Amish can eat thousands of calories a day with large amounts of fat and not gain an ounce all year. Reason—— lots of walking and heavy work without machines. And Mariner is right-—whole foods mean a lot. How many cans of Chef Boyardee and packages of Rice A Roni do they eat?
