I just love MINERALS...from my earliest days visiting the Museum of Natural History (in NYC). I cannot explain it, but they are just absolutely BEAUTIFUL to me.

Pretty rocks are pretty nice. And it's always a pleasure to listen to Phil Harding (on Time Team reruns) get all fluttery about some pile of rocks, or a really nice stone age tool.
