Ha—you got out right as the CT slide got more dramatic! (And during a tough RE market, of course, though with bargains out there at the time.)
Besides the fact that it is a cash cow, it is riddled with technical errors and plenty of people get monstrous bills that don’t even apply to their cars.
I know of people getting bills from the state for cars that they do not own. It’s quite nauseating.
You nailed why I avoid toll roads at all costs. Even when you pay them may try to get you.
If you were sent a bill for a trip over the bridge that you did not make, and you do not pay it, when you go in to get your license plate renewed the county will not renew it until you pay the bill and show them proof.
Yep. That’s the challenge. Fortunately, they all come with a picture. But what if you were using the i-pass but it didn’t successfully read?
I dunno. I see the government as a dumb, brute force. If you have ever seen the movie Brazil, I just think of myself as not wanting the fate of Mr Buttle. Or is it Tuttle?
