Democratic presidential candidate Kirstin Gillibrand wants to expand Social Security to people living in the United States illegally. "First, we need comprehensive immigration reform," the 2020 hopeful and New York senator said during a campaign stop in Davenport, Iowa. "If you are in this country now you must have the right to pay into Social Security, to pay your taxes, to pay into the local school system and to have a pathway to citizenship. That must happen." Gillibrand's comments are striking given her past as an immigration hawk. In 2009, the New York senator voted to increase funding for ICE and once said she believed English should be the official language of the United States.

“Comprehensive immigration reform”. Just once I would love to have one of these idiots actually spell out what immigration reform they want to propose. Will it include nullifying the Flores agreement? Will it allow states to convict an illegal for lying on the I-9 form? Will it tighten up asylum claims? Will it allow immediately return illegals even though they had “touched” US soil? Will they mandate charges of child endangerment for adults bringing children on the trek to the US? And many, many more “REFORMS”.

Agree, but I am so p@ssed that no one is making these idiots lay out what immigration reform would look like, or at least what they think it should look like. Every time anyone brings it up they deflect the question.
