Back when I was a kid who read comic books, sex had nothing to do with any of it. They were... comic books! About superheroes!

Well, I don’t know about ‘Captain marvel’, but you just KNOW that ‘Avengers:Endgame’ is still gonna make a crap-ton of money...unless they do something so totally over the top stupid before the movie comes out.
How likely is that? As Einstein is supposed to have said, “Two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity. And I’m not so sure about the universe”. Stay tuned....
As for a gay character...it’s been done in the comics. It didn’t kill off ‘Alpha Flight’ when NorthStar came out.

On a related note, ‘Endgame’ is supposedly Chris Evan’s last foray as Captain America. It’s rumored (though not confirmed) that time travel is a part of ‘Endgame’, and there’s a theory that Cap will return to the 1940’s so he can be with Agent Carter.
Would you go back in time to get a chance to be with her? Oh, yeah.
Captain Gay America, instead of a red, white and blue uniforn, he’ll be in rainbow colors with a feather in his helmet.
It would have to be an alternate timeline, but it would be right in its own way.
And, yes, I would.
I’d like to think that somewhere there’s an alternate timeline where I did everything right.
Dumbest idea I ever heard of! What reason on earth is there to have queer superheroes? These aren’t going to be looked at as “heroes” by the average person. Makes no sense whatever to go into this venue to promote the lgbtq/whatever “view”. It will only increase the animosity in the mind of the average person about this group in my opinion.

I had to look that one up. DC actually had him being attacked by something called an “AIDS vampire”; such vivid imaginations they have there.

Didn’t DC or Marvel have an openly gay superhero called Rawhide or something? Apparently that comic outright bombed in sales.
Well, in any case, regarding the topic, seriously, why make Captain America gay? Have people forgotten that during his time he was more likely to not like homosexuals and consider it a mental illness, probably even do what Batman did to the Joker and lock the queer up in a nuthouse? He would not even consider enacting on any homosexual behavior, if of course he even had such aspects to begin with. And quite frankly, that’s actually one thing I utterly HATED about Volume 5: Redemption in Heroes, where they turned Claire Bennet into a lesbian/bisexual when there was literally no hint in earlier seasons that she was that (same goes for Alex Danvers for Supergirl in Season 2.). I sure as heck would not be fond if Captain America, who BTW loved Agent Carter, a woman, and may have a thing for her granddaughter going on, came out as gay, or bi, or anything like that.
The Rawhide Kid was a western comic book character created in the mid 1950s. After about 60 years as a straight cowboy gunfighter, they decided to retcon him as gay.

Well, seems like this sort of thing has been going on for a while now. You’d think they’d learn their lesson from tanked sales that such is NEVER a good idea to do.
