King Kong Bundy, one of the most prominent WWE wrestling stars of the 1980s and 90s, has died at the age of 61, the WWE confirmed Tuesday. The wrestling legend, whose real name was Christopher Alan Pallies, took on Hulk Hogan in the iconic steel cage match at WrestleMania 2 in 1986. World Wrestling Entertainment said in a statement that it was "saddened" by the news of his passing. Pallies' death was also confirmed by long-time friend and wrestling promoter, David Herro. "Today we lost a legend and a man I consider family," he wrote on Facebook. "Rest in peace Chris. We love you. Thank you for believing in me."
Pallies, who was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, started his wrestling career for the World Wrestling Federation in 1981 under the name Chris Canyon, before changing his name to King Kong Buddy.

Here is King Kong Bundy taking a lick from Andre the Giant with Hillbilly Jim and Big John Studd looking on.
You know that you are a legend, when you have your own action figurine.
I never heard of him. Sounds like he lead a full life, even though it ended at just age 61. He was also called
“The Walking Condominium”, when his weight was at least 460lb. No direct cause of death is given, but looking at a recent photo, he has the look of someone who is sick and has been that way for a long time. Dark circles under the eyes. His expression show total awareness and someone still ready for the cameras, the attention.
Is he the one who did “The Crusher”.....You Turkey Neck!

RIP KKB......
Nope, Da Crusher did The Crusher!
Who remembers All Star Wrestling??
Darn! Condolences to his family. Loved his 7 second decimation of Special Delivery Jones. And his Married with Children cameos. Sadness.
There’s close to a ton of beef in that ring with those four men. Imagine if they hit a buffet together.
So many wrestlers die at a young age. The list is unfortunately long.

Wresters do die at young ages it seems...is it steroids? Anyway, prayers to his family...
Maybe they have multiple concussions that cause their early demise................
Anyone remember Abdul the Butcher?
The Mad Arab?......................
Its amazing how many wrestlers from the 70# and 80s have died in the past year or so. A LOT. Pedro Morales died a few weeks ago.
(Not his exact words).
He was fun to watch, whether you were rooting against him in the ring or laughing along in the comedy shows he was in. Thanks for the memories. RIP.
