He was a great Lane Frost in “8 Seconds.”

Not exactly a stellar career on the level of the old classic Hollywood stars.

Eerie. He had stroke on the same day as a reunion reboot of the original 90210 was being planned which he would probably appear down the line. I always liked him. He semed like a good person.

Amazing that some nobody like him dies and yet you continue to live. Just amazing.

I didn’t watch much of what his acting, but did recently see him in “Love in Paradise” I see nowas i look it up, it was a 2016 TV film, he looked old, since I hadn’t seen him in many years, but he was funny in the role he played.

Sad to hear he died, but maybe he wasn’t well? His face looked so old in the movie (2016) and i see on wikipedia page and elsewhere that was how he looked not like they added wrinkles, aging for the movie part.

Many of my classmates from Burkburnett helped with that production and were laudatory of Perry in his portrayal of Lane Frost of Quanah, Texas. They had traveled and been rodeo mates with Lane while he was making the circuit.

Sorry his level of success did not impress you. I have not read all of the multiple Luke Perry threads on FreeRepublic today but I’d bet big bucks that at least three Freepers have boasted about never having heard of him and at least one Freeper has used his passing as an opportunity to tell us he or she has not owned a television for thirty years.

He had a solid career, which is better than 99% of what all actors can expect over their career.

RIP Luke! I really never heard of the guy until now. I didn’t watch many TV shows from the 1990’s. I was always on 2nd shift half of the 1980’s and all the 1990’s until I retired in Feb 2007...

He was adored and respected by many in Hollywood. I never knew him but belonged to the Spelling “family” for a few years in my career. He really was one of they good guys and will be sorely missed.

I always appreciate hearing that a Freeper has never heard of a particular person, thing, song, movie, etc., since that’s the criteria by which the importance or appeal of all stories are judged. And not owing a TV for 30 years...my God, what more could anyone hope to accomplish in life (other than sharing the fact with others)?
