Maxine Waters (D) 43rd district CA Annual Salary $174,000 CA Residence net worth $3.9 million ?

Ever wonder how Maxine Waters could afford her multi-million Los Angeles mansion, which also happens to be in one of the wealthiest areas in the city. The Waters’ home isn’t within her district, which is one of the poorest in California. We all know not to mess with Auntie Maxine by now, especially after how she’s dealt with critics in the past. Maxine has stated that she owns several properties. Well, how can Auntie Maxine afford all this, which brings up the next question? Who is Maxine Waters Married To? Sid Williams’ age is 77 and he’s had quite a few jobs before he settled into retirement. Sid Williams’ net worth isn’t verified (Est over $1 Million), but he was once a professional football player for the Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins. He was also a car dealer for Mercedes-Benz in Hollywood and he was a minority business developer with former teammate Jim Brown. His most notable profession was when he was appointed as the U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas during the Clinton administration. He’s Waters’ second husband and has been married to her since 1977. They don’t have any children together, but he’s a stepfather to Maxine Waters’ kids. Side NOTE: Sid Couldn’t Enter the Speaker’s Lobby In 2015, Williams was a guest (courtesy of his wife), but was told that he wasn’t allowed to enter the House Floor, according to Politico.

“And regarding his alleged attempt to enter the Speaker’s lobby, Congresswoman Waters’ husband had mistakenly ventured into the lobby searching for the bathroom, at which point, he was directed to go a different way,” said Waters’ rep, Jermaine House. “Nevertheless, that was no attempt to subvert any rules; it was merely a mistake that dozens of staffers and visitors commit for any myriad of innocuous reasons.”

Whether you’re looking for the bathroom or trying to reach your spouse, there’s no entry allowed on the House Floor or lobby. By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY SID, who turns 77 today.

Scandal-Plagued Maxine Waters Top Dem on Banking Committee

A famously corrupt—and seemingly untouchable—congresswoman renowned for abusing her power to enrich family members is set to hold a ranking position on the powerful House committee that oversees the nation’s financial services industries.

Even for Washington this is a bit much. Democrats have chosen a scandal-plagued college, veteran Congresswoman Maxine Waters, to be the ranking member on the House Financial Services Committee despite her many transgressions over the years. The influential congresswoman has helped family members make more than $1 million through business ventures with companies and causes that she has helped, according to her hometown newspaper.

A few years ago Waters was investigated by the House Ethics Committee for steering $12 million in federal bailout funds to a failing Massachusetts bank (that subsequently got shut down by the government) in which she and her board member husband held shares. Read all about it in Waters’ profile on Judicial Watch’s 2011 “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians.” list.

Waters has also come under fire for skirting federal elections rules with a shady fundraising gimmick that allows her to receive unlimited amounts of donations from certain contributors. For years the veteran Los Angeles lawmaker has raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars in short periods of time by selling her endorsement to other politicians and political causes for as much as $45,000 a pop instead of raising most of her campaign funds from individuals and political action committees.

Never the less, Waters has been chosen by her party leaders to be their top representative on the Financial Services Committee which has jurisdiction over all issues pertaining to the economy, the banking system, monetary policy and international finance. The announcement was made last week by the House Democratic Caucus steering and policy committee, which is controlled by none other than Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker who used the U.S. Air Force as her personal airline.

The steering committee assigns fellow party members to House committees and advises party leaders on policy. In a statement announcing the steering committee’s new members a few days ago, Pelosi bragged that they “reflect the diversity, energy, bold ideas, and creative thinking of all House Democrats , and embody our Democratic commitment to create jobs, strengthen the middle class, and grow the economy.”

It wouldn’t be right to part without also noting some of Maxine Waters’ international accolades. She has made worldwide headlines for her frequent trips to communist Cuba to visit her convicted cop-assassin friend, Joanne Chesimard, who is also known by her Black Panther name of Assata Shakur. Chesimard was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted by a jury of the 1979 murder of a New Jersey State Trooper. With the help of fellow cult members, she escaped from jail and fled to Cuba.

Outraged U.S. lawmakers insisted she be extradited but Waters always stood by her side, likening the cop-assassin to civil rights leader Martin Luther King. In fact, she wrote Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro a letter to assure him that she was not part of the group of U.S. legislators who voted for a resolution to extradite the cop murderer. Waters told Castro that she opposed extradition because Chesimard was “politically persecuted” in the U.S. and simply seeking political asylum in Havana, where she still lives.

JetBlue sorry for poster of ‘cop killer’ Assata Shakur at New York airport

“The poster paying tribute to the now 71-year-old Shakur at the JetBlue terminal at Kennedy was first reported in the New York Post, which noted that one of the bullet points listing Shakur’s accomplishments said: “Became the first woman to be placed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list after escaping to Cuba from prison where she was serving a life sentence for the 1973 murder of a police officer.”

The poster also read: “Many people believe Shakur to be a political champion who is innocent of the criminal accusation against her.”

(They’re ‘sorry’ - like they didn’t know who she was when they had that created)

Everything pales to the biggest harm she has done to society. She was one of the largest contributors to the housing crises and the economic meltdown that it caused. Together with Barney Frank and others, Waters made sure that Freddie and Fanny kept loaning to home owners who everyone knew were unable to repay their mortgage. Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae were the first and largest financial companies to go bankrupt. And Maxine Waters made sure that nobody restricted their ability to make bad loans right up until their guarantees bankrupted the financial industry.

"During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP [The Revolutionary Communist Party] -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

"NEVER FORGET that Maxine Waters embraced Damien Williams, the infamous thug who hurled a chunk of concrete at truck driver Reginald Denny and performed a victory dance over this innocent man’s battered body. Maxine Waters even visited Damien Williams’ mother to offer her support.

Williams was sent to prison on a single felony charge of mayhem, but when his accomplices got off, Waters joined in the celebration. Damien Williams was released a few years later and went on to [commit] murder... Also, no surprise, he was a member of the Crips."

Maxine Waters on the Los Angeles riots of 1992 (Rodney King riots):

"In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, [Maxine] Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5]

She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are'. "

From the New York Times...

"Jussie and Jurnee still count their mother, Janet Smollett, as their only acting coach. An African-American from New Orleans, Ms. Smollett met their father, Joel Smollett Sr., a Russian-Polish Jew, in the Bay Area, where they campaigned for civil rights.

“My mom was in the movement with Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, and one of her first mentors was Julian Bond,” Mr. Smollett said of the Black Panther founders and the civil rights leader.

“To this day, Angela Davis is one of her dearest friends. We’ve spent Mother’s Day with Angela.”..."

"In 1970 Davis was implicated by more than 20 witnesses in a plot to free her imprisoned lover, fellow Black Panther George Jackson, by hijacking a Marin County, California courtroom and taking hostage the judge, the prosecuting assistant district attorney, and two jurors.

In an ensuing gun battle outside the court building, Judge Harold Haley’s head was blown off by a sawed-off shotgun owned by Ms. Davis.

To avoid arrest for her alleged complicity in the plot, Ms. Davis fled California, using aliases and changing her appearance to avoid detection.

Two months later, Davis was arrested by the FBI in New York City."
