When visitors and tourists come to Los Angeles, no doubt they make it a point to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The glitz, the glamor the notorious rep?
A new survey calls the iconic Walk the Worst Tourist Attraction in the World.
KCAL9s Hermela Aregawi went to the Walk of Fame to find out why its become, well, infamous.
She found people from the world over who said, yes, the walk gets crowded sometimes but the people she spoke to mostly gave it high marks.

I’ve always thought it cheapened the place, and would have been better without it.
The aggressive touts and homeless people make it annoying.
Yet it’s still “an attraction” ...
Have they stated pooping on the stars yet? Or is sidewalk defecation still confined to San Fransicko?
Is it worth a vacation visit? Hollywood?
Ping.
It’s your chance to poop on a star
Put that to the music of “Swinging on a Star” and expand upon it.

There are a lot of crazy people there, so many you can’t even see most of the stars.
I’ve been to Hollywood a couple of times on business.
The first time I went to Tinsel Town it simply wasn’t! Huge disappointment - Dingy dirty & decaying! looked in many ways like an old industrial town where the industry moved out, only no boarded up factory ruins. Went back several times after (under protest!) that but with no preconceived notions those times. Horrible trips! Drove through Beverly Hills a couple of times better in a garish sort of way. Big houses -mansions as you would expect with high security fences/walls. High Walls for me but not for thee America!
California is still filled with natural wonders worth visiting, just avoid all of the the major city downtown areas and go to Orange or San Diego Counties if you want beach time.
“Have they stated pooping on the stars yet?”
Only Donald Trumps’....and thats not a joke. IIRC they had to remoove it.
I wouldn’t go to LA to throw up.
I have never been to the walk of fame, but I have been to the worlds biggest tourist trap, The Forbidden City, talk about a huge disappointment.
The wWlk of Paid to be Included (yeah, those things aren’t granted as any kind of reward, it’s all paid for) is indeed terrible.
When my family went to the area in 1965 it was on our “must see” list.
I’ve been to the area seven or eight times in the last 20 years and have had no motivation to see it.
Hollywood is a chithole, if you like tweakers, junkies and homeless vagrants, then by all means give it a try, but that is what you will see for the most part, oh and be careful where you step!
The neighborhood is a dump.
