A 7-year-old Wisconsin girl who was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor wants to receive letters from dogs.
So far, Emma Mertens has received more than 50,000 letters from dogs.
"If you knew Emma, she's the most kind, big-hearted girl," Emma's father, Geoff Mertens told "Good Morning America." "To see so many people take a few minutes out of their day to put a smile on her face is overwhelming."

No kidding. My dad died of a brain tumor at 77. This poor little girl breaks my heart in two. She will be getting a greeting from our Jack Russells sending love to her. Heartbreaking to say the least.

This is so sad. My Mother died of a brain tumor at age 53 in 1973. I wish I could send this little girl a greeting from my Cocker Spaniel, but he passed away in November.
Ive got a brand new little girl. Sadie Rose. Ill send her pictures and pictures of Sadies best friend Cody soon. Sadie is 1 year and two months, he is 4 years old. A Blue Healer/ Border Collie cross (Cody) and they are fast friends. Ill get you pictures and some stories. My prayers are with you. God Bless.
