Every good movie deserves a sequel. Or at least a prequel.
I just got off the phone with Bill Martinez, telling him there would soon be another Jussie story. And here it is. When the home of Nikki Joly burned down in 2017, killing five pets, the FBI investigated it as a hate crime.
After all, the transgender man and gay rights activist had received threats after having a banner year in this conservative town.
In the prior six months, he helped open the city’s first gay community center, organized the first gay festival and, after 18 years of failed attempts, helped lead a bruising battle for an ordinance that prohibits discrimination against gays.
For his efforts, a local paper named him the Citizen of the Year.
Authorities later determined the fire was intentionally set, but the person they arrested came as a shock to both supporters and opponents of the gay rights movement. It was the citizen of the year — Nikki Joly.

A researcher had discovered that in 2017 there were roughly 7,000 hate crimes reported. That is over 19 per day. No idea how many are real (whatever a “hate crime” happens to be) or hoaxes, but within the law of averages and married to the fact that all of the ones that garner national attention, I would guesstimate that out of those 19+ per day, 18 1/2 of them are going to be hoaxes.

Tucker Carlson did a section on ‘hate crimes’ a few days ago - turns out IN THE WHOLE STATE OF CALIFORNIA LAST YEAR THERE WERE FEWER THAN 70 HATE CRIMES.
Yes, fewer than 70 that were prosecuted and turned out to be true.

Actually, Nikki Joly is a trans-man, biologically female and therefore a "he" regardless of what pronoun this sick freak prefers. It's easy to get wrapped around the axle on this whole thing.

Yes, they kill and use ‘hate crimes’ for attention but make no mistake about it - these ‘hate crimes’ are attacks on traditional Americans.
To excuse them as mental illness is to overlook the damage they’re doing to the country.
It only came as a shock to those who are willfully blind.
I’m not excusing them as mentally ill, I’m identifying them as mentally ill. Appropriate action can then be taken.
